ChatGPT is an AI capable to replace Google
The arrival of ChatGPT has hit Google like a bomb, according to a reconstruction by The New York Times. The search giant sees the chatbot as a great danger to the survival of the company. Therefore, even the founders of the company are rumbling to defuse the crisis.

ChatGPT is a chatbot. The program works on the basis of artificial intelligence (AI). The software can answer questions, but also execute commands. The test version works so well that many people have already used it.

This has not gone unnoticed by Google either. It has even led to a "code red situation," writes the US business newspaper based on sources.

The search giant is afraid that ChatGPT will change the way people search for information in the future. That hits the company in its most sensitive spot. The search engine is the product that Google has become big with and that still makes a lot of money.

According to The New York Times, founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin were invited by CEO Sundar Pichai in december to talk about the chatbot's danger. ChatGPT had just been released.

The founders have talked about Google'S AI development program. They also gave advice on how to equip the search engine with chatbot functions.

Partly based on the opinions of the founders, the company wants to present more than twenty new products later this year. Below that, a version of the search engine that works like a chatbot.

The new products are likely to have many similarities with ChatGPT. Google hopes that as a result, people will continue to use its search engine, rather than switching to its competitor.
