Linda Yaccarino will become the new boss of Twitter, Elon Musk announced on Friday. Yaccarino grew up in the world of tv advertising and previously worked at media company NBC Universal. Together with her, Musk will work on"X , The Everything app".

The new top woman will mainly deal with day-to-day management. According to Musk, she will start in six weeks. NBC Universal announced on Friday that Yaccarino had resigned from her position effective immediately. She worked there since 2011.

Musk said in his tweet that he looks forward to working with Yaccarino to turn Twitter into what he calls "X, The Everything app." X is the company that the billionaire previously merged with Twitter. Nothing is known yet about what that app should look like.

Musk remains on the company's board as chairman and chief technology officer. He says he will focus mainly on the development of products, software and system management.
