Totalitarian democracy: Twitter to decide what's right and wrong
Twitter will ban ads that cast doubt on climate change. The company announced this on Friday, on Earth Day.

"Misleading ads on Twitter that contradict the scientific consensus on climate change are prohibited. This is in line with our policy on inappropriate content," said Casey Junod, Twitter's sustainability manager.

"We believe that climate change deniers should not make money on Twitter and that false advertising should not distract from important conversations about the climate crisis."

The announcement comes at a time when Tesla CEO Elon Musk is trying to take over Twitter. The billionaire announced last week that he wanted to take the company off the stock exchange for more than 43 billion dollars (almost 40 billion euros).

Musk has previously said that he believes people should be able to say almost anything on the platform.
