Special product price hotline will be arranged in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

Governmental media office has informed citizen of Nizhny Novgorod about the fact that product price hotline will be available in the nearest future. Acting governor Valery Shantsev has examined opportunities of the region to provide its citizens with all necessary products. He said that agricultural field has changed over the last 8 years. Special programs of product self-supplies have been implemented during that time. Ministry of Agriculture notes that region is totally able to provide itself with all necessary products such as grain, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, etc. The overall percentage of self-supplies is 100% at the moment. This percentage can decrease to 88% in winter. However this problem can be solved easily.

Valery Shantsev said that primary goal is to control existing product prices. That is why daily monitoring will be held in the biggest retailer chains as well as in small shops. If citizens of Nizhny Novgorod have any information about illegal price increase, that can inform government about it via hotline which will be available in the nearest future.

Acting governor also noted that this period can be rather positive for agricultural development. Producers and shops should use it wisely because Russian products are of the same quality as foreign. Share of Russian products in shops is 60% at the moment. However this percentage will be increased up to 80% in the nearest future.
