Special height puppets will appear bon crosswalks of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

Special height puppets will appear on crosswalks of Nizhny Novgorod which are located on the main squares and streets of the city. Their main aim is to control the traffic and help people cross roads. Puppets will be installed on the 1st of September. The information was provided by Safety Department of Traffic Police in Nizhny Novgorod region.

In accordance with available press release of the department such measures will improve the situation on the roads. At the same time it will help to provide extra safety for pupils and students in the beginning of educational year.

In addition Traffic Police Department of Nizhny Novgorod region pays attention to the fact that the risk of occurring accidents is increasingly high during this period in the biggest Russian cities. That is why necessary measures must be taken in order to prevent children and youth from injuries and accidents. That is why drivers are recommended to be very careful and attentive on the road especially near schools and kindergartens. Drivers must be also ready for emergency situations when kids are croos the road.
