Central Election Commission has provided rating of the top 30 Russian Governors. Valery Shantsev is in top 3 in accordance with final results. He has the maximum amount of votes together with two other leading governors. This rating was created taking into consideration results of recent elections which have taken place on the 14th of September 2014. 1 328 867 citizens of Nizhny Novgorod region voted for Valery Shantsev which is 86.93% of all voters. President of Bashkortostan takes the first position in this rating with 1 851 625 votes which is 81.71% of all voters in the republic. The Governor of Samara region takes the second position with 1 362 676 votes. He is also the ex-president of Mordovia. Vladimir Yakushev who is Governor of Tyumen region also managed to gain more than 1 million votes. His results are 1 236 069 votes. Governor of St. Petersburg is also among the leaders with 1 130 199 votes. The worst results in this rating belong to the Head of Republic of Kalmykia Alexander Orlov (107 368 votes) and the Head of Altay Republic Alexander Berdnikov (42 756 votes). Valery Shantsev managed to collect the biggest amount of votes during elections on the 14th of September 2014. This result is the highest among all other governors in the history of Nizhny Novgorod region. This is an absolute record. In accordance with results from the Central Election Commission 86.93% of population voted for him. Boris Nemcov was considered to be the most popular governor at first with 58.37% of votes in 1995. Sociologist Alexander Prudnik says: “Such success of Shantsev can be explained by the fact that he has chosen communicative model of management. He improved his media office and found it possible to establish correct approach to the citizens of the region”. |
