The president of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has already signed a law. According to this law Russia will return to winter time. This information is provided by official portal of legislative information. This law will come into force on the 26th of October 2014 at 2 a.m. This is time when everybody will have to rewind their clocks. There will be no season time change. In other words Russian population will remove clock hands only once and return to winter time. Moscow time refers to UTC (SU) + 4 hours’ time zone. It will refer to UTC (SU) + 3 time zone on the 26th of September 2014 as it used to be. Law refers to 11 regions that will be included in this time zone. It should be noted that change of winter and summer time has been canceled in summer 2011. This was initiated by ex-president Dmitry Medvedev. 73% of Russian supported this law. | |
