The major part of the funds will be taken from Nizhny Novgorod region budget.

Russia: Repairing of Opera and Ballet Theater will cost Nizhniy Novgorod 10 million rubles

Pushkin Opera and Ballet Theater was founded 83 years ago. This fact turned out to be one of the most important cultural events in 30-s.

In accordance with information that is available on the website of government order, a special trend will take place on the 11th of August 2014. The main aim is to choose a contractor that will handle with all necessary repairing works. The trend will be held in form of an auction. It is arranged by “Order placement center of Nizhny Novgorod Region” state institution.

Minister of Culture Alla Zabegalova said that local authorities are planning to provide 53 million rubles for repairing different governmental and cultural institution in 2014. It will also provide 8.5 million rubles for repairing Opera and Ballet Theater. The rest of necessary funds will come from the budget of this cultural institution. The overall cost of all repairing works is estimated by 9.8 million rubles.
