Russia: Nizhny Novgorod teachers refused from flowers on the 1st of September
Every pupil is eager to present his teacher with beautiful flowers. It has already turned into an old tradition. This opinion is shared by the majority of moms and dads. On the other hand teachers from all Russian educational institution refused from traditional flowers on the 1st of September.

Such action is called “Alive children instead of dead flowers” and it has already turned into an all-Russian flash mob. The main idea of such action is to give all money which could be spent on piles of roses and other flowers to charitable organizations. This idea has been supported by the majority of teachers in Nizhny Novgorod.

On the other hand local flower shops are not as excited as teachers. This is due to the fact that they will lose major part of their income. The average price of bouquet is 1000 rubles in Nizhny Novgorod. If we multiply this sum on the overall number of pupils, the overall income will be extremely high, especially if taking into consideration the fact that there are not so many shops in the city.

Organizers of the action assure that all funds will be spent on saving lives and supporting other people
