Citizens of Nizhny Novgorod will have 10 days in advance to give their vote for a candidate.

Russia: Missing Nizhny Novgorod voters will be able to vote in advance

Those citizens of Nizhny Novgorod who will be absent on the day of elections due to good cause, will have a chance to vote in advance.

Vacation, business trip, educational and working period, governmental and social duties, illnesses are considered to be good causes for being absent. This information is provided by official website of regional election committee.

All polls for such citizens will operate starting from the 3rd till 13th of September. They will be opened from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sundays and working days and from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays.

Chief Electoral Officer if Nizhny Novgorod Sergey Kuzmenko said that every citizen will be provided with a right to vote on the while territory of the region in accordance with existing law. Everyone who will be absent on the Election Day will get an opportunity to vote for their candidate in advance within 10 days.

It should be noted that election of the Nizhny Novgorod region Governor will take place on the 14th of September. 2 233 polls will be opened. Addresses of the polls will be available on the official website of regional election committee.
