About 6 billion rubles will be spent on utilities’ modernizations and renewal.

Nizhniy Novgorod Water Utility modernization program is 18% completed

General Director of “Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal” JSC Alexander Bayer reported during his press-conference that that program of water utilities system modernization is 18% completed.

He also said that this program has been launched before signing of concession agreement with City Administration. This program includes all necessary repairing oks along with modernization of utilities which are managed and controlled by the enterprise. About 6 billion rubles will be invested in implementation of the program which will end in 2020. 1.6 billion rubles have already been spent by Water Utility in order to complete two first stages of modernization.

Alexander Bayer paid attention to the fact that modernization of the main pump station will be finished by the end of this year. At the same time Ultraviolet water purifying system will also be installed. Project for the second water purifying process will be launched in 2015. The main aim of this project is to make all water utility stations ecologically clean and efficient. Moreover it will be possible to save up to 20% of energy. Waste water treatment plant modernization will also be launched in 2015.
