New airport building will be constructed by 2016 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

Construction of new airport building in Nizhny Novgorod will start in September 2014. The will be a new passengers’ terminal. Information was provided by Region Government media office with the reference to Executive Director of the airport Alexander Sinelnikov.

He said that area for new terminal has already been provided. It will be grouted with concrete in the beginning of September. More than 6 thousand cubic meters of concrete have already been grouted. Necessary anti karst works have also been done. All operations and works are done as per schedule. About 180 workers deal with construction operations. They are using 25 units of techniques and building equipment. Everyone is able to watch them live via internet using the official website of the airport.

Acting Governor Valery Shantsev noted that a lot of attention will be paid to the outer look of new terminal as well as its design. Terminal will be equipped with 4 additional gangways for passengers’ convenience as well as with rooms for babies and their moms.
