More than 50 Ukrainian pupils will study in Nizhny Novgorod schools, Russia

The Head of General Education Department Mikhail Zvetkov told journalists that educational institutions are ready to accept 51 Ukrainian pupils on the 1st of September. According to information provided by the official more than 108 children from South-East of Ukraine are now on the territory of Nizhny Novgorod.

Zvetkov also said that six families applied for a place in kindergartens for their kids while 51 families asked for a place in general education schools. At the same time he paid attention to the fact that this question has already been solved. Every family will get an approval which lets their children study in Nizhny Novgorod schools. None will be rejected.

Ukrainian pupils will study in accordance with the same program and with the help of the same textbooks as pupils from Nizhny Novgorod. Additional classes will be arranged for children who do not speak Russian. However teachers of local schools are sure that there will be no problem in teaching Ukrainian speaking kids. They will easily get used to conditions. Additional classes will also have a positive effect.
