Citizens of Nizhny Novgorod have prepared and packed “national dinners” for refugees from Ukraine and everyone who is needy. This event has taken place on the 12th of August in “All Saints” temple in Sormovsky district. There were lots of volunteers who were preparing and packing food in cooperation with representatives of medical and social organizations of Nizhny Novgorod diocese. The project was called “national dinner”. It was launched by Russian Bank of products and Orthodox care service that is called "Mercy". Several regions have also implemented this project on their territory. It has become very popular in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Voronezh and Veliky Novgorod. According to information on www.vremyan.ru this project is held in cooperation with representatives of medical and social organizations of Nizhny Novgorod diocese. The main idea of this project is to provide unprotected people with necessary food which is prepared from high quality products. They include buckwheat, carrots, onions and soy meat. All ingredients are produced in Russian and do not contain genetically modified organisms. |
