Grand opening of the memorial plaque to a navy pilot on the Main Fair Building has taken place at 12 a.m. on the 14th of August. This plaque is dedicated to the Hero of USSR Nikolay Sutyagin who was born in Nizhny Novgorod. This information was provided by City Administration media office. This event was visited by veterans, combatants, representatives of city youth organizations, students, directors of enterprises and businessmen which deal with production of aircrafts and components. Representatives of DPRK Council have also visited this event. Nikolay Sutyagin was awarded with Hero of the Soviet Union title. He was also Distinguished Military Pilot of the USSR and got Lenin medal, World War II 1st rate medal, Red Flag medal 9for three times) and many other national and foreign medals including Polish, German and Korean. | |
