Kiosks with alcohol are closing down in Nizhniy Novgorod
Citizens of Nizhny Novgorod are complaining on illegal trade on alcohol in kiosks and other trading outlets. The main reason for their complaints is crowds of people who gather around those kiosks every night. Overall there were 40 complaints which were sent to the administration office of Nizhny Novgorod within 2 weeks. As a result local authorities decided to take drastic measures and 8 kiosks were closed. The main reason for closing them was the fact that they proceeded with illegal trade in alcohol according to Media department of city administration.

Citizens say that the idea of creating such trading outlets and kiosks was to sell fruits and vegetables. Later they started to sell alcohol without any permission. Oleg Kondrashev paid attention to the fact that such situation with illegal trade in alcohol may lead to worsening of the crime situation in Nizhny Novgorod.

According to the latest results Kanavinsky and Moskovsky districts are among those where the number of such violations is extremely high. Moreover these outlets and kiosks sold alcohol after 10 p.m. which is prohibited according to the law of Russian federation. That is why the leases have been terminated and kiosks have been dismantled.
