Israel to launch a mission spacecraft to the Moon
SpaceIL, an Israeli initiative group for space exploration, announced that as soon as in the end of 2018 the first lunar orbiter will be launched. It will land on the Earth’s satellite on Feb 13 2019, according to the plans.

It has been told that the launch will be executed by SpaceX Falcon-9 Rocket. The satellite itself will be the smallest lunar exploration spacecraft ever designed. It is only 180 kilo in weight, except of the fuel needed to approach and land on the Moon. After the mission will be finished it will stay on Moon forever.

Despite the SpaceIL initiative is well in framework of Google Lunar XC Prize the SpaceIL will not get the prize as the cash retribution as it has been cancelled by the originator in March 2018 with no winners. Google Lunar prize was  intended as reward for the first commercial organization which will land a spacecraft on the Moon.

First landing on the Moon was performed by USSR back to the 1959. First soft landing was performed by USSR in 1966. USA has pioneered manned lunar missions in 1969. China has joined the club in 2013 with it’s unmanned surveyor.

Would SpaceIL mission will be successful Israel, in some way, will became the fourth nation to ever land on the Moon.
