Customs office has summarized results of foreign trade activity for the last 7 month in 2014.

Foreign trade turnover has decreased by 5.3% in Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia

Foreign trade turnover is 3.5 billion dollars during the period from January to June in 2014. It has decreases by 198 million dollars in comparison with the same period last year. In other words the overall volume has decreased by 5.3%. Export is 5.1% lower. Its overall volume is 1.4 billion dollars. Import is 5.4% lower and it is 2.1 billion dollars in 2014.

Metal export has decreased by 36% while export of chemical products is 10.5% lower. Export of minerals has decreased by 15.2%. Import of manufacturing products is 10.8% lower in Nizhny Novgorod region while import of chemical products has decreased by 9.9%.

Trading turnover with CIS countries has decreased by 3.9%. Its overall volume is 3.08 billion dollars. Trading balance is determined by a negative rate which is 1.03 billion dollars. Foreign trade turnover with former Soviet countries is 447 billion dollars. It has decreased by 14%. Import is 47% lower while export has also decreased by 7.4%. At the same time this trading balance is determined by a positive rate which is 351 billion dollars.
