Auto utilization program will be resumed in Russia

Ministry of Industry and Sales is planning to resume auto utilization program starting from the 1st September 2014. Such statement has been made by Dmitry Medvedev during government meeting.

Those car owners, who provide their vehicles for utilization or change old cars with new ones, will get additional compensation from producers or dealers. Such program will also be spread on trade-in. Prime Minister is sure that this measure will turn out to be a good stimulation of auto market in Russia. Such stimulation is necessary considering the fact that car sales have decreased over the last few months.

The Head of Ministry of Industry and Sales Denis Manturov also noted that 10 million rubles will be provided for implementing this utilization program. Both individuals and legal entities will be able to take part in this program. A car must be more than 6 years old. In such case auto owner will get compensation from 40 to 350 thousand rubles for new cars and from 40 to 300 thousand rubles for trade-in autos. Final decision concerning prolongation of the program will be taken in the middle of 2015.
