65 million rubles were spent on new textbooks in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

The Head of City Administration Oleg Kondrahsev has taken part in a conference with teachers. He reported about preparation works for the upcoming educational year in Nizhny Novgorod.

All 185 schools have been already commissioned. All repairing works will be completed by the end of August. The Head of City Administration paid attention to the fact that additional funds have been provided for completing roof repairing works. 37 million rubles have been spent of fire safety measures while 56 million rubles have been spent on purchase of textbooks.

Oleg Kondrashev shared his opinion regarding creating of special education committee which will consist of university rectors. Solutions for development of schools and other education institutions will be implemented in 2015. New educational centers will appear. The Head of City Administration stressed that the number of pupils has increased by 5 thousand people this year.
