5 bicycle rent stations will appear in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

The fist and yet the only bicycle rent station has been opened on the 12th of July in Nizhny Novgorod. At the same time special route for bicycles has also been launched. 

The head of City Administration Oleg Kondrashev has visited “Dynamo” stadium on the 8th of July where the rental is located in order to assess its level of service. 

Kondrashev shared his impressions in his own blog and also posted several photos. All bicycles are made in the same style which represents the spirit if Nizhniy Novgorod. 

There is also an inscription on wheels and other parts of bikes which says: “I love Nizhny Novgorod”. There is also a familiar symbol (deer) as well as the main band o Nizhniy Novgorod region. 

Bicycles are very colorful and attractive. The head of City Administration is sure that this will turn out to be a good reason for citizens to ride bikes instead of cars. 

Initiators of these rentals say that from 5 to 10 people daily use their service during the working day and about 30 people rent bicycles at the weekend. 

It is planned to buy more bicycles by the next bike season 2015. Moreover two more rentals will be opened. The locations of some new rentals are already known. They will be situated on Bolshaya Pecherskaya Street and near the ropeway.
